About Dr. Annie Chou
Dr. Annie Chou is a board-certified Cardiologist, locally trained at the University of British Columbia. Her experience in health care started at Lions Gate Hospital in Grade 9 as a candy-striper. She completed her undergraduate studies in Honours Physiology in 2004, obtained her Medical Degree in 2009, completed 3 years of Internal Medicine Residency in 2012, and finished 3 further years of Cardiology Fellowship in 2015, all at the University of British Columbia.
Dr. Chou enjoyed 3 years of practice in North Vancouver, but has moved on as the Director of General Cardiology at St. Paul's Hospital. She is the Medical Director of Providence Heart @ Davie, the new St. Paul's Hospital General Cardiology Clinic, and is also the lead physician for the Chest Pain Clinic. She relocated to Downtown Vancouver July 1, 2018 and is accepting Cardiology referrals.
Dr. Chou has extensive research experience and has presented and published on various topics within Cardiology: specifically, Women and Heart Disease, Electrophysiology, Acute Coronary Syndromes, and Addictions and Cardiovascular Disease. She is also fluent in both English and Mandarin.
In her spare time, Dr. Chou can be found running along the seawall. She is also an avid traveller and has been to over 40 countries.
